Email Chain Regarding Prince Andrew at Heidi Klum Event and Media Response Strategy (File 030600)
Email correspondence from January 2015 between Ghislaine Maxwell and her advisor Philip Barden discussing media allegations about Prince Andrew at a New York socialite event and recommendations for public statement strategy.
Summary
This email chain from January 9, 2015 shows correspondence between Ghislaine Maxwell and her legal advisor Philip Barden regarding allegations published in the Daily Mail about Prince Andrew's attendance at a Heidi Klum 'Hookers and Pimps' party. Barden advises Maxwell to make a strong public denial of the allegations, arguing that the Daily Mail reaches 193 million readers and that silence could allow the allegations to gain traction. Maxwell indicates she will prepare a statement, while another correspondent suggests tying the narrative to 'easily disproved Clinton' references. The email chain includes forwarded correspondence from Devonshires Solicitors, a London law firm, providing legal disclaimers.

Dear Ghislaine
Below is a link to today's Mail.
The allegations are getting worse - this is not a storm you can ride by not making any statement out and get your life back. You have friends saying they don't believe you would act in this way and you need to say that you did not.
The Mail website is read by 193 million I don't see how a statement denying the allegations will make matters worse which is the acid test. It will make your position better as you will a strong open denial on record. These allegations must not gain traction.
I wont say anymore as I have given my advice - call me.
Best
Philip
