Document outlining the Nobel Charitable Trust's proposal for an international Earth Environment Convention to showcase eco-friendly products and renewable energy technologies, with planned hosting in Japan starting 2012.
Summary
This document presents a comprehensive basic policy plan for the Nobel Charitable Trust Earth Environment Convention, a proposed international event to exhibit eco-friendly products and renewable energy developments. The convention would feature an NCT Energy Award, with participating corporations receiving accreditation marks and market recognition. The plan details hosting arrangements (primarily in Japan with Tokyo Big Sight as the proposed venue), participation structure involving 500-1000 corporations, funding mechanisms through donations and exhibition fees, and implementation timeline beginning in 2012. The document outlines operational management through the GSSI Earth Environment Technology Development Expo Executive Committee and emphasizes NCT's broader mission to promote environmental conservation, sustainable development, and children's education globally.

Despite the many environmental conferencestaking place around the world, no event has ever included an exhibit ionof environmental technologies . Therefore, it is a natural course ofevents, that this Convention should begin in Japan, which would carry asignificant message . Global consensus on this matter should be easyto attain.2.Venue■Venue candidates include Kyoto from the Kyoto Protocol, andOkinawa and Hokkaido from the past G8 summits but consideringfactors such as transportation, operation and promotion, we wouldlike to recommend the Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo InternationalExhibition Center.)3.Timing of the Conference4.Exhibitors (Corporations)■With the cooperation of governments around the world, NCT willencourage corporations worldwide to participate in the exhibition.■Participation of Japanese corporations will be managed through thefuture energies organization (GSSI Earth Environment TechnologyDevelopment Expo Executive Committee)(Anticipated number of participating corporations: from 500 to 1000)5. Advantages in Participating in the Exhibition■By participating, corporations will have the opportunity to introduce and promotetheir energy efficient products, obtain information on renewable, alternative andsustainable energy resources, and may obtain rights to or participate in projects.■By positioning participation itself as a status symbol, higher awareness will beseen in corporate efforts to engage in environmental friendly endeavors.■Improved brand image of participating corporations and an opportunity toaccumulate consumer response data6.Operations■Hosted by: Nobel Charitable Trust■ The GSSI Earth Environment Technology Development ExpoExecutive Committee will manage all production and operations ofthis convention.■As the formation of NCT and preparations to organize thesupport system in Japan will begin in spring 2010, timing of the 1 stConvention will be in the year 2012.■Seasonal factors in Japan indicate the best timing for theconference to be in spring (April-May) or fall (Sept- Oct).7.
