Jeffrey Sloman

Jeffrey Sloman served as First Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida during the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and plea negotiations in 2007–2008.

As First Assistant U.S. Attorney under Alex Acosta, Sloman was directly involved in the negotiations with Epstein’s defense team regarding the non-prosecution agreement. Documents show he communicated with Epstein’s attorneys about compliance deadlines and terms of the agreement.

According to correspondence in the Epstein Files, Sloman imposed deadlines on Epstein’s compliance with the non-prosecution agreement and restricted direct contact between the defense team and U.S. Attorney Acosta, requiring communications to go through his subordinates.

Epstein’s defense attorneys noted that Sloman’s former law partner was among those who filed civil lawsuits against Epstein, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest in the prosecution.

Jeffrey Sloman appears in the Epstein Files as a key figure in the U.S. Attorney’s Office handling communications and negotiations with Epstein’s defense team.
